It compares two almost identical cars in almost identical conditions, the only major difference are Mixman's cams and heads, plus he has higher compression from the decking, and is running a bit lower boost at the knock threshold.
He did not have adjustable cam gears for that dyno day, so yes, his cams are not properly adjusted.
Both our cars have nearly identical built bottom ends from IPP.
Cherry's original question was what difference would breather mods make with built vs stock heads... With all else being equal. This is the closest comparison I have from our dyno session.
Testing each other's cars after tuning, we were agreed that stock heads get a pretty good tq bump in the 3500-5000 range. Another stage III Z with stock heads and 2.5" intake piping had a similar tq bulge in his dyno charts as well.
And I agree with adjustable cam gears, Mixman's tq will definitely increase.
We'll be doing this all again this summer.... We'll post further results.
